Do we really need music charts?

The Official UK Charts Company (which, presumably, feels we do so need music charts) has finally deigned that the UK’s charts should take streamed music into account – but still not for another year at least, according to this report from the BBC.

My faith in the kids is restored

I’m so impressed by the kids at Davenant Foundation School in Loughton, Essex, who went on strike after the school installed CCTV cameras in two classrooms.
Although apparently installed to record footage of best practice teaching, I for one wouldn’t do my best learning under the beady, suspicious eye of these bug-like cameras.
